RECEIVES NARI CERTIFICATION
Algonquin (IL) – Mega Home Improvement, a 30-year full-service
remodeling company announced today that employee Don Domanus
has received his NARI (National Association of the Remodeling
Industry) Certified Remodeler certification. The certification
identifies this young 25 year-old as a dedicated remodeler who
has completed the 12-week intensive study course, followed by
an eight-hour written exam covering a broad range of critical
industry issues, such as business management practices,
knowledge of building codes and construction law, plans and
specification, business ethics, standards of practice, as well
as several special skill areas. Prior to starting the
certification process, candidates must have worked in the
industry for at least five years.
Joe Hogel, partner/owner of
Mega Home Improvement commented that “the NARI certification
program is a challenging process, requiring extensive
knowledge of the industry and a commitment to professional
excellence. Don has what it takes -- and we are proud to have
him on our team.”
Since joining Mega six years
ago, Don has worked in all aspects of the remodeling business.
“I love what I do,” Don said. “I especially enjoy meeting our
customers in the consultation process and then seeing a
project successfully finished. Qualifying for the NARI
certification has challenged me to test my commitment to be
the best that I can be.”
The National Association of the
Remodeling Industry (NARI) is the only national association
dedicated solely to the remodeling industry. NARI's focus is
on professional conduct, continuing education and training,
and fair and ethical treatment within the industry.

About NARI of Remodeling Excellence Awards
The Remodeling Excellence Awards recognize members of NARI of
Greater Chicagoland for various remodeling projects, both
interior and exterior, throughout the year.
Winners were chosen by an impartial panel of remodeling
experts, with all references to company names removed from
entries. To be considered, a company must be a member of NARI
of Greater Chicagoland in good standing. NARI of Greater
Chicagoland members represent a select group of approximately
260 companies, representing more than 2,000 remodeling
professionals in the Chicagoland area.
All projects submitted for judging must be an improvement or
an addition to an existing structure in order to be
considered. New construction projects are not eligible. In
addition, competing projects must have been completed between
July 1, 2005 and September 23, 2006 (a 14- month time period)
and cannot have been submitted in prior NARI of Greater
Chicagoland contests. An impartial panel of judges from
Milwaukee NARI/Home Improvement who are considered experts
within the industry and associated fields, selected winners
based on each entrant’s “Before and After” photography and
project description. Judging was based on problem solving,
functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree
of difficulty and entry presentation.
