WORKS A MIRACLE FOR BABY PATRICK AND FAMILY

(Lake Zurich, IL) When Patrick Leibforth was born last year the family residence was in the middle of an extensive remodeling project. That project came to a halt as expenses mounted to save Patrick’s life. He was born with a congenital heart defect and over the past 10 months baby Patrick has undergone heart surgery, battled pneumonia, and has been fed through a tube. His recovery has taxed the finances of the family and as the medical bills began to mount, all work on the remodeling was stopped, materials were returned and the home equity loan taken for the work was applied to his medical care.

The Rotary Club of Lake Zurich heard of the family’s plight and stepped up with a fund raising project called Project Patrick. The National Association of the Remodeling Industry’s Greater Chicagoland Chapter and the Lincoln State Council of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America put the word out to their members that help was needed.

Don Domanus, Production Manager for MEGA Home Improvement of Algonquin, IL, was first to hear from NARI. Don alerted the owners Joe and Steve Hogel and volunteered to coordinate the whole project. Joe and Steve enthusiastically responded with construction crews who were dispatched to finish the job at no charge to the family. MEGA also arranged with materials suppliers to donate the materials needed to finish the siding, roofing, and trim on the addition. The MEGA work crews have been working for five days on the project and expect to be finished up in another two days. “We are so pleased to be able to contribute our time and expertise to complete this project for a family in need” said Mr. Hogel, who’s home improvement company specializes in roofing, siding, windows, and construction projects throughout the Chicagoland area.
